I've finished the painting of a foxglove that I started in the Barbara Pratt workshop a few weeks ago. I don't normally paint flowers so I had a little bit of difficulty with it. But overall, it was a positive experience for me.
I wrapped these gorgeous gold/green shell spikes in lots and lots of luscious steel wire. I tumbled polished the earrings to shine and to strengthen and I added hand shaped sterling silver ear wires.
Today I spend in my studio finishing a journal for a customer and making jewelry for another customer. I have to photograph some new earrings that I made and get them listed on Etsy. I'm also working on an oil painting that I started in the workshop over the weekend that I would like to finish. With the rain and the cold outside, it's a perfect day to be in the studio.
I love when the cherry blossoms bloom on the trees! Everything looks so gorgeous and full of life.
I had an amazing art filled weekend at an oil painting workshop with the oh-so-sweet and talented Barbara Pratt. The people were great ( hi Michelle) and the food was delicious and plentiful. I'm already looking forward to next years workshop.
